Pererenan, Bali isn’t a suburb of Canggu. Ask someone who’s actually spent a month in the area, and they’ll point west, past Batu Bolong, to a stretch where the road narrows and the rice fields start again. It’s the corridor that came before Canggu’s boom, a rice field corridor still built around a working agricultural grid rather than a beach-club strip.
Bellevue Villa Complex sits on Jalan Pantai Pererenan itself, close enough to Batu Bolong to walk. At night you can still hear the subak irrigation channels running.
Not Quite Canggu, Not Quite Untouched
Central Canggu runs on Jalan Pantai Batu Bolong and Jalan Raya Canggu, dense and café-lined, the busiest stretch in the area. Berawa, Bali, the corridor on Canggu’s other side, went the other direction entirely. It’s a beach-club strip now, with a heavier concentration of short-term rentals and a livelier, nightlife-forward pace after dark.
Pererenan’s main artery, Jalan Pantai Pererenan, sits between the two. It’s narrower and slower than either, a genuinely low-density villa area with rice paddies still visible between low-rise clusters instead of wall-to-wall development. Canggu’s cafés and coworking spaces stay within easy reach for daily life. A rooftop pool at dusk still looks out over working paddy fields instead of a neighbor’s wall.
Getting In and Out of Pererenan
The road in question is Jalan Pantai Pererenan, running roughly parallel to the coast and connecting into Jalan Raya Canggu. It doesn’t need to pass through central Canggu’s most congested stretch first. That matters day to day: a run to Berawa or central Canggu doesn’t mean sitting in the same traffic that backs up around Batu Bolong’s café corridor at peak hours.
The same thing that keeps the traffic lighter also keeps the rice fields intact. There are fewer through-roads here, fewer options if the main artery itself gets busy, and a genuinely quiet street once you turn off it. For a buyer weighing daily commute against daily quiet, that’s the actual shape of the trade.
The Rice Fields Around Bellevue Are Protected Ground
This is the detail most Canggu-area guides skip. Following the severe flooding that hit parts of Bali in late 2025, provincial authorities tightened permitting on new construction over productive agricultural land. Building-approval (PBG) review has grown more scrutinized island-wide since.
What that means practically for Pererenan: the paddy land around Bellevue isn’t a marketing backdrop with an expiration date. Remaining agricultural land here has actually gotten harder to convert over the past year. That’s part of why the corridor still looks the way it does, and why the view from a unit facing the paddy side of Jalan Pantai Pererenan is a longer-term bet than it looks.
How Bellevue Answers the View-vs-Privacy Question
It shows up in the unit design, not just the neighborhood. Bellevue’s Pearl unit faces the paddy side of the block, its infinity pool angled toward open rice-field views. The Diamond unit takes the opposite approach with Bellevue’s largest infinity pool, positioned for privacy rather than the outward view.
Neither reads as a generic “villa for sale in Bali” listing. They’re two answers to the same question a Pererenan buyer actually asks: how much rice field do you want to wake up to, and how much privacy do you want in exchange. Batu Bolong’s surf break and cafés stay a short ride away either way.
A Day on Jalan Pantai Pererenan
Mornings here start slower than in central Canggu, a walk or short ride past working rice fields before the wider café scene in Batu Bolong or central Canggu opens up. Daily errands still mean a ride into Canggu proper or over to Berawa.
Pererenan itself stays residential and quiet after dark. That’s a feature if quiet is what you’re after, and worth knowing upfront if you’re picturing Canggu’s busiest strip right outside your gate.
Who This Micro-Location Actually Suits
Picture a buyer who has already ruled out Berawa’s beach-club density and Canggu-proper’s traffic, and is now weighing exactly where on the Pererenan side to land. Jalan Pantai Pererenan is the corridor’s own main artery. Batu Bolong’s cafés and surf are a foot or a short ride away.
Tabanan and Seseh, where the commute back to Canggu really starts to stretch out, are far enough not to be a concern. Pererenan is a smaller bet than “Canggu” as a category, and Jalan Pantai Pererenan is a more specific bet than “Pererenan” as a category too. That’s exactly why the street matters here, not just the neighborhood.
Bellevue Villa Complex’s eight unit types, from Topaz through Diamond, sit across the site’s 35 homes on that street, each with a different answer to the view-versus-privacy question. If the exact location is the draw, the e-brochure breaks down which unit type actually faces the paddy field you’re picturing.
